Rockin' The Forest

This is one of those pictures where, rarely, it comes out better than you see it in your mind. Of course, not the BG...I'm still working on my BG skills.

The BG isn't very important. This is fan art of Toad Patrol, specifically two OCs, Fox Fire (Fox for short, left) and Tinker Jet (right).

Now what would prompt me to draw this, you might ask, when I know nothing of the show or characters? Well, a little inspiration is the answer, and the inspiration lies in someone special.
Lately, I've been very depressed, and aside from the voice of my fiancee, there has been another. Her voice has pushed me to draw, enter contests in which the results may have left me depressed, sing whenever I please, and just to cheer up in general.
I don't mean to sound preachy, but it's very rare in life to have a true friend. Most people can't tell a friend from an acquaintance, I feel. All my life I knew that difference, and its one of the things that set me apart from others. I wanted friends, not acquaintances. A friend will like you for who you really are (obviously), want to know you and succeed at getting to know you, and know just what to do to make you smile. A friend will give you a push when you need it, and even when you don't want it. A friend is also honest, even when it's painful. Even so, a friend will work with you through those hard times, and see you happily on the other side.

So here's my inspiration. This is a thank you to my friend ; for all the pushing and loving support.
